WELCOME
A brand new, half hour Travel Series plus Travel Log Webisodes set
to explore the country's family entertainment & dining experiences.
What Is This About A Travel Show?
J.Riley and crew have announced the beginning pre-production of a brand new 25 episode, half-hour Travel Series with 75 1-to-3-minute Webisode Travel Logs set to explore the country's family entertainment and dining experiences.
Each half hour episode is set to premiere on CentralValleyTalk.com (an independent web-based television network with over 200,000 viewers) and then will be loaded to the show's website for viewing within weeks of airing.
During production, the show will also be shopped around to other more "traditional" television networks.
Also during production, short Webisode Travel Logs will be loaded onto the site allowing fans, sponsors and viewers to track the show's exploits during production!

Who Is The Target Audience Of This New Travel Show?
The American Family is the most recognizable traveling group in the United States.

When you think about the quintessential American Tourist, you think of the father in the floral shirt and mismatching shorts, his wife in the straw hat and sunglasses and their son and daughter fighting in the back seat, repeatedly asking, "Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?!"
Now, in reality, families aren't exactly like that and usually decide together where to travel. But as the years go by it gets harder and harder to find something new, a place that isn't the same old vacation, the same road-trip and location years in a row.
With the economy the way it is, it makes it that much harder for people to travel. So, when they do, they want to make sure they know where to find the best of what interests them. We will make certain to provide exactly that.

Seeing that most of the travel programs out there seem to cater to the individual or the couple; or feature the most EXTREME or EXPENSIVE, we saw this as the perfect opportunity to create a show which would cater back to the heart of American Tourism... THE AMERICAN FAMILY.

How Will These Demographics Benefit Sponsor(s) Of This New Travel Show?
The American Family viewing audience generally breaks down into two groups:
-
Parents 30-50 (with children of all ages)
-
Children 8-14 (Younger children aren't generally watching the shows parents are watching, and older teens generally aren't looking to watch shows about doing things with their parents)

However, while also reaching our viewers, we are unique in the fact that in two ways we will also reach others:
-
Our Production Vehicle will be essentially a travelling billboard travelling across country for our main sponsor.
-
With visiting 75 locations for the show, in which each gets a Production Packet which will include promotional matterial from our sponsor(s); this provides opportunities to reach potential vendors/franchises (whom you might not normally be able to reach) in a unique and unintrusive way.
-
We will also have plenty of extra Production Packets to hand out to any business owners or even just the curious passer-by whom may ask for one. While we will be visiting 75 locations for the show, imagine the number of non-show locations we will stop at during our trip; gas stations, restaurants, markets, the occasional hotel, etc.

Where Will The Hosts Travel For This Travel Show?
During each half hour episode, the new travel show will follow the adventures of its host(s) as they explore many of the nation's family entertainment and dining experiences.
Traveling in a motor home turned production vehicle advertising the show and our SPONSOR(S), they will visit Amusement Parks, Tourist Attractions, Charitable Organizations, Wildlife Preserves, Restaurants, Resorts and more! Including specific locations targeted for specfic holiday specials.

Every location we visit will be invited to provide promotional swag for giveaways on our site, as well as gift certificates/cards etc. to include in our Ultimate Roadtrip Package Giveaway which we will announce the winner of in our final episode!

What Is The Time Frame For This Travel Show?
While pre-production has already been launched, actual production is planned to launch in the Summer of 2017 and to begin being aired that Fall.

The production vehicle will travel the country for 1 1/2 to 2 months, recording several hours of footage at each location. The footage will then be cut and selected down to about seven or so minutes to fit three different locations into one half hour episode.
So with 25 episodes, that's 75 locations! We have broken down locations into three categories and essentially every episode will consist of:
• One Attraction (Amusement Park, Annual Event, Tourist Trap, etc.)
• One Dining (Restaurant, Diner, famous Ice Cream Parlor, etc.)
• One "Other" (Ghost Town, Museum, Science Center, Hall of Fame, etc.)
When it comes to locations which offer multiple options, say an amusement park with a multi-award winning restaurant, we'd split their segment up to show both park and the restaurant... In which case, we'd probably show two "Other" locations instead of another "Dinning" location.

Each location will get its own segment which will be separated by commercial breaks, although the final segment will also be split by one.
Each Segment may contain:
-
Host to Guest Interviews
-
Point-of-View Action Shots
-
Host to Audience Descriptions
-
Solo Interviews
-
Patron Opinions
-
Things in the Area
-
History of Location
And in the final episode we will play footage from our Show Wrap Up and Preview Party (as part of the dinning location for that episode) which will be held the weekend before the show's first episode airs! Considering the contacts the crew has made through their previous projects, you never know who just might show up! ... Maybe even you!

More Questions About This Travel Show?
Why at least $250,000?
That is because we are actually filming 25 half-hour episodes to be aired on a web-based-television network. In addition we will have 75 Travel Logs Webisodes which will be posted on our official website. As the concept of a web-based-television-network is still rather new (although CenralValleyTalk.com has been doing this for over 8 years), it’s difficult to find any site that can classify it.
All in all, our Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production costs break down like this:
The costs for one Half-Hour Episode (approx 22 minutes, to make room for commercials) PLUS 3 Travel Log Webisodes (approx 1 to 3 minutes) comes out to a minimum of $10,000.*
So, $10,000 TIMES 25 Episodes / 75 Webisodes (approx 12 to 15 hours of final product) comes out to $250,000.
* (Costs of the Motorhome and the costs to repourpose it into a Production Vehicle plus the vinyl wrap of the vehicle itself is factored into each episode)
